Frequently Asked Questions
What ages are the kids’ cards best for?
Approximately ages 4 to 10.
What’s the difference between the kids’ cards and the family cards?
The kids’ cards are divided into 6 categories (although the order of the questions does not matter) and are designed to explore a child’s individuality, thoughts, and inner world. The questions include general topics (for example, what feels easiest or most difficult in the child’s life), imagination-based questions (such as “If you were your teacher, what would you change in the classroom?”), as well as questions about today, the future, themselves, family, and friends.
The family cards are designed more as discussion prompts, where one question is asked and everyone can answer (or anyone who wants to). They focus more on gratitude, togetherness, future dreams, shared experiences, and family values — for example, what kind of Christmas you would like to have next year, what compliment you could give to each family member, or what your family’s most beautiful memories are.
How to use conversation cards for kids?
Go through the cards one by one, ask kids a question, and patiently wait for their answer;
Invite kids to draw a card, talk about the question together, and then pick the next one;
Ask the same questions again every week, month, or even year;
Choose cards by color — focusing on one color first, then moving on to the next;
Answer some of the questions yourself, either from your current perspective or while remembering your own childhood;
Take the cards along on car rides or when visiting friends and family.
And so many more ways to enjoy them…
